Rotonda is a favoured location for many reasons – it has glorious year round weather. It's a short drive or for those preferring the relaxed pace of life, a bike ride from the beautiful white sandy beaches at Englewood Beach and Manasota Key. Gasparilla Island and the quaint and attractive town of Boca Grande, are well worth a days exploration. Favoured activities apart from the superb golf courses include tennis, hiking, biking, boating, fishing and other watersports. The area has a plethora of wildlife ranging from wild boar to an abundance of bird life.

You can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, searching for seashells or just relax, marvelling at the exotic sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. Rotunda is a part of Florida a little of the beaten track, leading to an unhurried style of life. For those however preferring a greater range of services and facilities particularly in the evenings Punta Gorda, Venice and Sarasota are a 30 to 45 minute drive.

The 32-acre ROTONDA COMMUNITY PARK is a few minutes walk away and features a multipurpose sports field, two tennis courts, a picnic pavilion, a bike path that snakes its way through the area's nature preserve and rest room facilities.

On further exploration, the soft Gulf beaches stretch for miles and never seem to be crowded. Most beaches have public amenities and those around Englewood are safe for young and old alike. If you prefer something with a more Caribbean setting, take a trip over the toll bridge onto Gasparilla Island. Caught in a time capsule, this beautiful little island hosts multi-million dollar properties and exciting beaches sharing their treasure chests of shells and fossilised sharks teeth with collectors.

Golf is a 'must' for many Americans and in an area where the weather is good and life is for enjoying, golf courses come as standard and you will be spoilt for choice. There are currently 6 courses within the Rotonda Development and upwards of 30 outside within a 15-20 mile radius. From May to October the courses are quiet and tee times can often be arranged the same day.
